Anyway is a free, state-funded platform now available to every public school in North Carolina. It helps students explore careers, reflect on their strengths, and build real confidence about life after graduation, alongside what they're already learning in class. It's grounded in North Carolina's Portrait of a Graduate, so what your student does on Anyway reinforces what's already happening at school rather than adding something separate to keep up with.
How does it work?
Your student's experience with Anyway moves through three stages:
- Explore - Students discover careers that match their interests and strengths, from skilled trades and healthcare to technology, the arts, and beyond.
- Engage- Short, guided activities help students connect what they're learning and doing now to where they want to go.
- Plan - Students build a personal roadmap for after graduation, whether that's college, a career, the military, or an apprenticeship.
What do you get out of it?
- 100% free. Anyway is written into North Carolina's state budget, so there are no fees, no fundraising, and no account for you to set up or manage.
- Visibility into your student's plan. Students can generate a private, shareable link to their Anyway portfolio - including their Career Development Plan (CDP) - so you can see their progress without creating an account of your own.
- Real ways to support your student at home. Ask what career paths they explored that week, look at their reflections together, and revisit their plan each semester as their interests grow.
- Peace of mind. Anyway is built with enterprise-grade security and AI safety controls, and student data is never used for AI training.
